Becoming a Continuing Education Provider

Before submitting an online application, please have the following documentation ready in PDF form:

• Outline of program content including course objectives
  
• Program schedule including meals and breaks
  
• Annotated bibliography to support course content
  
• Presenter(s) bio outlining qualifications
  
• Sample course evaluation form
  

Failure to provide these items will result in the application being incomplete and the approval process will thus be delayed or application rejected. 

Please note that CE activities approved by VOTA will most likely meet regulations set forth by the OT Advisory Board to the Board of Medicine and/or NBCOT. However VOTA’s approval will not protect you in the case of a hearing should you become negligent in meeting CE requirements for either aforementioned party.

Research Posting Request

This is for organizations who wish to ask VOTA to post research projects that members can participate in. All research posting requests will be reviewed and must meet specific criteria before being posted. Research postings will appear in the Members Only section of the VOTA website, and can be shared via our Facebook page. VOTA members will be informed of the posting. VOTA can’t guarantee participation in the research project.

FEE STRUCTURE AND PAYMENT

Request for Research Posting:

• VOTA Members – No Charge
• Students or Practitioners from out of state (upon verification of state membership, all members of research team must be members of state chapter) – No Charge
• Students in Virginia Programs who are not members - $25 per request
• Students or Practitioners from out of state (if any member of research team is not a member of state chapter) - $50 per request

VOTA has reserved Mondays for Facebook posts about research requests.  Please keep this schedule in mind when you request.
